Graduate Expo and Fair
We strongly encourage all graduates to attend the upcoming Graduate Expo, which offers a valuable opportunity to place orders for regalia, class rings, yearbooks and more. The following vendors will be on-site to assist with your orders:
- Oak Hall: Regalia (cap and gown) fittings and inquiries
- Balfour: Class ring samples and fittings
- Barnes & Noble (Kean Bookstore): Custom graduation stoles and other graduation-related merchandise
- Prestige Photography by LifeTouch (Senior Portraits): Available by appointment only

Kean Ocean Graduate Expo

At the Graduate Fair, graduates will have the opportunity to pick up their regalia and receive answers to any commencement-related questions. The following departments will also be on-site to offer assistance:
- Registrar’s Office: Verify your graduation status
- Career Services: Access job placement assistance and career resources
- Alumni Engagement: Register for future alumni events

Cap and Gown
All graduates participating in the commencement ceremony must wear the Kean University regalia (cap and gown attire).
The regalia has to be ordered ONLINE by the deadline dates below to either 1.) be picked up at the Grad Fairs on respective campuses OR 2.) shipped to your home address (shipping and handling fees apply).
Order Deadlines and Grad Fair Dates
- Order by Tuesday, March 25, 2025, to pick up at the Kean Ocean Grad Fair on Monday, April 29, 2025.
- Order by Friday, March 28, 2025, to pick up at the Union (main campus) Grad Fair on Wednesday, May 1, 2025.
- Order by Sunday, April 13, 2025, to choose ship-to-home (additional shipping & handling fees apply)

All orders include a cap, gown, hood and tassel. You may also order various specialty tassels and graduation stoles at an additional cost.
Please note: To obtain your free Kean University stole (standard, not specialty), you have to pick it up at the Grad Fair corresponding to your campus. The standard stoles are not included in shipped orders.
Senior Portraits
All graduates for Fall 2024, Spring 2025, and Summer 2025 for undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs can schedule a portrait sitting appointment for the yearbook. Your portraits can be used for professional networking, job searches, and profile photos!
COST
There is NO sitting fee to take your portraits. Upon review of the proofs, you can decide to purchase any photos.
ATTIRE
Portraits will be taken in the Business Attire as you come dressed, and this pose will be used for the yearbook. Cap and Gown attire will be provided for a second pose.
FALL 2024
The Fall 2024 portrait sittings for December have concluded. The next opportunity to take photos will be in Spring 2025. If you have already taken your photos and have questions regarding accessing your proofs, please contact Prestige Photography by LifeTouch.
SPRING 2025
There will be appointments in February, March, and April 2025. We advise you not to wait until the last session. You will receive an email in late January when the appointments open up for the week of February 10th (Kean Union).
