Scholarships & Financial Aid
Any student who receives funding from organizations outside of Kean University must notify the Office of Scholarship Services in order to process awards into their account. Official documentation of award includes official award checks, letters of award notice, promissory letters, enrollment verification and/or billing requests. All documentation submitted must include the student’s name and identification number. Please forward this letter to us as early as possible. Any letters received after the payment due date will be considered, but may cause unnecessary delays and forfeiture of schedule.
Financial aid awards that have been approved by the Kean Office of Financial Aid may be used to pay your tuition and fees, as well as personal expenses to cover room and board and other costs of attendance. Please refer to your financial aid award letter for details. Before aid is disbursed, the Office of Financial Aid is required to adjust awards and the cost of attendance if the student dropped credits during the add/drop period. Additionally, awards may be adjusted if there were changes to the student’s on-campus housing status and after third week attendance recordes have been submitted by all instructors. Upon final review by the Office of Financial Aid, awards will be disbursed.
