The oral history program began in 1982 as a critical component of the HRC. The HRC has amassed thousands of hours of testimony of survivors and liberator. The collection now holds approximately 250 oral testimonies. The University’s oral history project is associated with the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington. D.C. and the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Based on these testimonies a book was published titled Holocaust Testimonies in New Jersey, available in the HRC.
