ID Cards

Student identification cards are issued to all active Kean students and are obtained from the ID card office now conveniently located on the 3rd floor of the Administration Building. There is no charge for the first card issued. If a card is lost, stolen or damaged, students are subject to a $15 replacement fee. Payments are to be made at the Student Accounting Office and the receipt must be brought to the ID Office to receive your new card. The ID card is used for the following; Official University ID, Library card, access into computer labs, gym and dorms, University events and theater as well as meal and flex plans if applicable. Each student is responsible to protect the security of his/her card. They are nontransferable; students may not "lend out" their cards to others. Cards that are used by someone other than the cardholder will be confiscated; and disciplinary action may be taken. Lost cards should be reported to the Cougar ID card office immediately.

To receive your University ID, you must show some form of a valid (legal) identification- for example, Driver’s License, State ID, Passport, Military/Dependent ID.

The ID Card Office is now located at the Office of Student Accounting, 3rd floor Administration Building. The phone number is 908-737-3240.
