UNDERGRADUATE AND TRANSFER APPLICANTS:

Prospective students applying to enter freshman year must submit their application by May 31 for fall admission and December 1 for spring admission. Kean employs a rolling admissions system. International students must also submit their application and all supporting documentation by May 31 for fall admission and November 1 for spring admission.

Complete application packets include: the Kean University application, a $75.00 non-refundable application fee, two letters of recommendation, a personal essay, official high school transcripts, and official SAT I results.

Onsite Decision Day at Kean: A “Fast Track” to Admissions.

Kean University provides an opportunity for qualified undergraduate freshman applicants – high school seniors only – to complete the entire admissions process in just one day. Students can submit an application, meet with administrators and current students, learn more about academic majors and campus life, and receive an admission decision all on the same day. If eligible, students may also be offered a scholarship. Students must satisfy the following criteria:

• SAT combined score of at least 1000 (Critical Reading and Math only) or

• ACT Composite Score of 21

• Academic grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale

If students do not meet the above eligibility criteria, they are encouraged to apply through our regular admissions process. A confirmed appointment is required.
