Students may park their vehicles on white lines ONLY.

Kean University provides handicapped parking and medical parking spots throughout the campus. To utilize these parking spots the appropriate parking decals must be displayed. Unauthorized vehicles are subject to parking fines.

Overnight Parking Policy

All resident students and overnight guests on campus between 3:00am and 6:00am must park in the Vaughn Eames Parking Lot behind the orange curb/barrier (not to the side of the barrier).

Registering Your Vehicle

All students, faculty, and staff must register their vehicles online. Parking Decals will be issued at no cost and will be mailed to you within 48 hours. Please allow for additional mail and delivery time. Please be sure to enter your 7 digit Kean ID number when registering your vehicle online.

To register additional vehicles “Add” your vehicle online and then send an email to parking@kean.edu to submit your request. Please be sure to include your 7 digit Kean ID number in your email request along with the Make, Model and License Plate number of your additional car.

Helpful Hint

In order to process your decal request, you will need your student ID card. When entering your student ID, use one leading zero, 7 digits (i.e. 0123456). Enter your last name and click Request Permit and follow the prompts.

Parking Fines

All violations are subject to a $50 parking fine. Please note that all parking fines must be paid or appealed within 15 day of the issue date in order to avoid late fees. Late fees are an additional $50 per ticket. Tickets are uploaded into our database within 24 hours after being issued. All tickets must be paid either online by <<clicking here>> or at the Office of Student Accounting located on the 3rd floor of the Administration Building.

Appeals

If you feel that your ticket was issued in error you may appeal your ticket to Campus Police within 15 days of the issue date. All appeals must be applied for online by <<clicking here>> . Tickets are uploaded into our database within 24 hours after being issued.

Note: You must include your Student/Staff ID number. If you are a visitor you must include your state drivers license number. All appeals are final.

The Shuttle Bus service can help you get to where you need to be and stops at the following locations:

• Wilkins Theatre (TPA)
• Liberty Hall Campus
• East Campus Parking Lot B & C
• East Campus Parking Lot A
• Hennings Hall
• Kean Hall Parking Lot (Closest to Green Lane)

Please note: Our Shuttle buses and Trolley buses operate on a rotating basis Monday through Thursday 7:15 a.m. - 10:44 p.m. & Friday 7:15 a.m. - 6 p.m., and currently only our 8 passenger White Shuttle Bus is handicap accessible. Click here to download the complete Shuttle Bus schedule.
