Undergraduate Programs
Kean University offers four undergraduate programs in Psychology: B.A. in Psychology, B.A. in Psychology/M.S. in Occupational Therapy track, B.A. in Psychology/Doctor of Physical Therapy Track and the B.S. in Psychiatric Rehabilitation.
B.A. in Psychology
The B.A. in Psychology is a comprehensive 124 semester hour (S.H.) program that prepares students for careers in human services. The program is designed to provide a balanced education in the field of psychology through the required core courses and the selection of appropriate electives. Students in our program develop observational, research, analytical, and cognitive processing skills.

**In addition, students must take five courses from at least three areas that include Developmental, Theoretical, Applied, Social, and Mind/Brain as Major Electives (12 S.H.)
**The B.A. program also requires thirteen courses as electives, 50-percent of these must be at the 3000-4000 level; no more than 3 additional Psychology courses may be included in these electives.

B.S. in Psychology and Psychiatric Rehabilitation:
The B.S. in Psychology and Psychiatric Rehabilitation is a 131--133 SH Program. It is a joint program run in partnership with the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ). This program is unique within the state, and is the first of its kind available to students in New Jersey. The student who successfully completes this dual major will get academic excellence in Psychology, and the skills necessary to provide both independent living skills and vocational rehabilitation for clients with mental illness.
